Ant-Man Takes an Arrow in New Civil War Promo Art!
Wait, what??? NOOOO!!! We just met Ant-Man!! What do you mean he ‘takes an arrow’?? Please tell me he takes the train, or the bus…NOT AN ARROW!! What about his daughter?? What about poor Cassie Lang?? What about…? Okay, Okay, enough with the disingenuous wordplay; firstly, replace the word ‘takes’ with ‘rides’ and then take a look at Ant-Man’s precarious position in this newly released Captain America: Civil War promo art.
Marvel’s been doing this a lot lately, reproducing classic comic book scenes through pieces of contemporary promotional art. Needless to say, I’m scarfing it down without utensils, licking my bib and begging for more!
And as interesting/amazing as the above-mentioned, fresh-faced homage piece is, there’s more where that came from. Check it out!
Looks like we have Black Widow in her TRON-inspired uniform wielding electrified escrima sticks, crashing through a window and, against all rational thought, ending up in the dreaded, ideological crossfire zone located between Iron Man and Captain America. Yikes!
And look! More Ant-Man! Wait, is that…is that Antony? Antony, is that (*sniff-sniff*) you? I know it can’t be, but maybe…No, it isn’t. AHEM! Sorry, Antony’s death in Ant-Man rattled me a little. Anyway, it’s Ant-Man and the Falcon in some more Civil War promo art. YAY!
