Affleck Revealed Deleted Batman V Superman Scene Starring Jimmy Kimmel!
Apparently, Jimmy Kimmel’s big scene was cut from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Yup. While interviewing Ben Affleck on Jimmy Kimmel’s “After the Oscars” TV special, Kimmel learned that, although his scene was certainly amazing, it was simply too short. And because it was too short -and far too amazing – people might be clamoring for more Jimmy Kimmel in a film already stuffed with necessary characters and essential plot points. So, Ben Affleck had to make a tough call; because he couldn’t give Kimmel’s character the screen time he deserved, and to keep audiences focused on the Batman/Superman conflict and creation of the DCEU, he had to cut Kimmel’s riveting scene. Ugh. Of course, this being the “After Oscars” special, Affleck revealed to the audience the actual, deleted Batman V Superman scene starring Jimmy Kimmel! YES! Check it out!
The “Batman V Superman scene that almost was” shows Kimmel’s character at the Luthor-hosted Gala; yes, the very same party where Superman and Batman, er….Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne, meet for the very first time. Maybe it’s the second time, but the first time out of costume. Look, we can double check my accuracy later. Anyway, Kimmel’s character continually interrupts the 2 heroes as they debate the validity of their particular city’s protector. What is it that disrupts these 2 titans from their shared scowling and back and forth brow beating? Why, that would be Kimmel’s character accurately identifying these 2 unassuming gentlemen as Batman and Superman. Yup, he figured out their identities, and he’s not going to let it go. Sure, Clark and Bruce deny it, but Kimmel keeps coming back around to take selfies, live stream his experience using Periscope, and generally revel in the fact that he’s hanging with his 2 favorite superheroes. Oh, and there’s more, but I’m not going to spoil everything.
