First Teaser Trailer for Batman: The Killing Joke Animated Film!
A new behind-the-scenes featurette for the highly anticipated DC Animated film, Batman: The Killing Joke, recently made its way online. Yes, interviews with the creators behind Batman: The Killing Joke are always very interesting and informative, but what’s especially awesome is the accompanying, 23-second teaser trailer for Batman: The Killing Joke! Check out the teaser above!
DC’s latest animated venture is based on writer Alan Moore’s seminal one-shot graphic novel released in 1988, Batman: The Killing Joke. With haunting, hyper-detailed illustrations by legendary artist Brian Bolland, Batman: The Killing Joke explored the scarily synergistic, repulsive relatability between Batman and his melanin-deprived, psychotically inspired arch-nemesis, the Joker! Yes, it dove headlong into their unnaturally natural relationship and showed Joker at his very worst; (SPOILERS) he shot – and paralyzed – Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), and kidnapped, tortured and psychologically mauled Commissioner James Gordon.

Who’s in the featurette? Why, that would be Director Sam Liu, Executive Producer Bruce Timm, and Creative Director of Animation at DC Entertainment, Mike Carlin.
Oh, and something worth noting: Batman: The Killing Joke also details the history of the Joker, pre-Joker. Maybe. Possibly. With the Joker, several histories exist in a constant state of intertwining, purple-colored, mutating malleability.
Batman: The Killing Joke hits July 21st, 2016, starring Kevin Conroy as Batman, and Mark Hamill as Joker.
