New X-Men: Apocalypse Featurette: Mystique Is a Hero to Mutantkind
What the f**k!??? Apparently, Mystique is – as previously surmised – responsible for recruiting, training and leading a younger group of X-People into battle against the overwhelming Apocalypse and his merry band of aptly augmented doom-bringers. Good grief (second time I used that phrase today). Yes, in this new X-Men: Apocalypse featurette, it’s painfully apparent that Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) is considered a legendary hero to Mutankind, an individual all X-younglings will gladly follow blindly into battle. Because Mystique….inspires. Sure she does. Anyway, check out the featurette above featuring a few milliseconds of never-before-seen footage, and a few brief excerpts of interviews with the likes of Olivia Munn (Psylocke) and Alexandra Shipp (Good Storm/Bad Storm).
According to Munn, “The scope of X-Men: Apocalypse is massive. The whole world is at stake.”
According to Apocalypse, “EVERYTHING THEY BUILT WILL FALL!” Yeah, yeah.
Charles Xavier beseeches Mystique to “train these children.” WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING, CHUCK!???
Alexandra Shipp adds, “It’s really exciting to give people a different perspective on these characters that they’re not expecting.”
X-Men Apocalypse debuts May 27th, 2016 and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, and Lucas Till. It also stars Hugh Jackman for at least 48 seconds, which is more than enough time to go f***ing bananas.
