Official Star Trek Beyond Trailer, Now in English!
Ok, so here’s the new Star Trek Beyond trailer, but it’s a little different. What’s different? Well, this time, it’s in English! No subtitles, no overdub; this is the official English speaking trailer for Star Trek Beyond released by Paramount pictures!
And it starts with the Beastie Boys anthem, “Sabotage,” leading to what could potentially be an act of sabotage as the USS Enterprise explodes, cracks, crumbles, and then ejects a good portion of its crew into the dark folds of unforgiving space!
Thankfully, our favorite crew members survive (barely), but the location of their salvation is somewhat hostile. Are those slave traders? AAHH! Always avoid the intergalactic slave traders! Can James T. Kirk and the intrepid crew of the USS Enterprise survive the following?
1. The complete and utter destruction of the USS Enterprise.
2. The violent, semi-lethal crash landing onto a hostile world in an attempt to escape said utter destruction.
3. The very unfriendly, indigenous population inhabiting said hostile world.
4. The alien, female ninja.
5. My harsh criticisms regarding soundtrack choices for Star Trek Beyond. “Sabotage?” Really?
Debuting on July 22, 2016, Star Trek Beyond stars Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Commander Spock, Karl Urban as LCDR Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy, Simon Pegg as LCDR Montgomery “Scotty” Scott, John Cho as LT Hikaru Sulu, Zoe Saldana as LT Nyota Uhura, Anton Yelchin as Ensign Pavel Chekov, Idris Elba as the film’s villain, and Sofia Boutella as a highly skilled practitioner of space-born martial arts!
