Olivia Munn Did Her Own Psylocke Stunts
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, X-Men Apocalypse spokesperson/ telekinetic ninja Olivia Munn said how important it was for her to do her own Psylocke stunts. “That was me from the beginning to the end. That was a really cool thing to feel like when I showed up on set I was like, “Oh wait, I can do this! Throw me onto a wire, give me a sword – I’m good!’” Training for up to 7 hours a day in preparation for the role, Olivia Munn was entirely dedicated to her performance as the fan-favorite character.
“Psylocke is such a powerful, lethal character,” stated the telekinetic Munn. Wait, does she have that power in real life, too? “It was important to me that I was able to do all of the stunts because the more believable it is, the better it is for the audience — and the only way to make it believable is for me to actually do it.” So I guess that means you don’t wanna mess with Olivia Munn or bet against her; she did her own Psylocke stunts and she may actually know how to use a psychic blade in conjunction with a kitana. That’s bad news bears right there, folks! X-Men Apocalypse starts May 27th, 2016 and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn and Lucas Till.
