The Predator Is Back on the Hunt with New Poster!
It’s time once again to “Get to the Choppa“, because The Predator is back on the hunt.
Today, the official Predator facebook page revealed the first teaser poster for the upcoming sequel/reboot for The Predator.
Sometimes all you need is an awesome shot of the Predator to get excited. Note, there is no release date, or any other information regarding when the Shane Black-directed feature will hit theaters. Wait… Shane Black is helming this one? This Shane Black…
If this is going to be a sequel, Black’s Hawkins won’t be returning. But maybe… just maybe… we can get Arnold Schwarzenegger back into the role of Dutch (sorry, Danny Glover, but in my mind, Predator 2 never happened).
Now some people might find fault in The Predator teaser poster, since it says “you’ll never see him coming”. That does evoke memories of The Mandarin twist from Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, which some found less than satisfying.
Hopefully The Predator can get the franchise back on track. Following the 1987 original, we were given a lackluster sequel, two Alien vs Predator botch-jobs and a 2010 Predators sequel that was… actually not that bad. However, they all failed to capture the action-packed awesomeness of the original.
So give you best friend a high five and get ready… because The Predator is back!
