Russos Tease Captain America’s Future and Infinity War
With Captain America: Civil War being released and the massive undertaking of Infinity War, the Russo Brothers still manage to swing by and do interviews! I guess those guys really love their jobs, eh? I also wonder if they go on adventures where they jump on turtles and bust brick boxes with their heads. Any-who, Anthony and Joe Russo tease Captain America’s future and the daunting task of filming Infinity War. They go on to say how they plan to film it back-to-back but that both parts of the film will be separate films. Perhaps they are going the Kill Bill route. The most interesting thing though is that the Russsos then teased Captain America’s future after Captain America: Civil War.
“We are moving into a Phase with the storytelling where when we bring Captain America’s story forward from Civil War, it’s going to be into Avengers: Infinity War. That’s the next chapter so to speak in his specific story and there’s been no talk of where we go beyond that yet,” said Anthony Russo. “Those are two gigantic movies that are intended to be the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, so there is going to be storytelling that happens in those films that we haven’t seen yet in the MCU, so who’s to say what the condition of the characters are at that point or who even makes it to that movie to begin with. Who makes it out of those movies is anybody’s guess at this point.” Oh wow, so I guess we should be concerned with quite a few characters! I bet those who make it out of Infinity War will be based on those who are willing to take a pay cut! Joking aside, the reviews have been glowing for Civil War.
Captain America: Civil War opens up on May 6th, 2016 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Tom Holland, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Daniel Brühl.
