New Star Wars: The Force Awakens International Trailer

The most recent footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes to us from an international trailer that debuted in China! New footage of Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Finn and Rey give us more insight to how these characters are linked. The trailer specifically shows that Rey and Han Solo meet before Finn has a chance to meet him.

Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren are obviously seeking to finish the work of ridding the galaxy of rebels. More Knights are shown in this trailer, which makes it difficult to determine which one is Kylo, meaning the question of who’s in charge sill lingers: who do the Knights of Ren answer to? In eight long days, that question will be answered.  It also brings into question whether or not Kylo is the Knight that holds the lightsaber to Rey’s face.

The plot in general is also still in question. Is Kylo Ren and the First Order directly hunting Finn and Rey? This particular trailer makes it seem like they’re the focus of the Knight’s ire. What we do know from this trailer is that Han Solo hasn’t lost his touch at the helm of the Falcon, and Rey and Finn operate the Falcon’s guns like champs when in a pinch.

BB-8 and Rey meet at some point during the beginning of the film and Finn obviously runs into them on Jakku. Once again, there is no hint at Luke Skywalker in the film. J.J. Abrams has made it clear the he does not want to release any more details about the film – especially regarding Luke Skywalker – and overall, he’s done a great job of not giving away the storyline in photos or trailers. The trailers in general have only been a huge tease to Star Wars fans that want more insight into the movie. Oh well, I guess we’ll have to wait and see! Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on December 18th (8 days away!).
