WHIH Newsfront: Special Report on the Avengers
One should appreciate the kind of in-universe that Marvel is building. Just look at this faux news report from Marvel’s WHIH starring the news reporter from the first Iron Man and the president from the 3rd Iron Man! That’s some consistency there, folks. This particular report from WHIH has two pundits discussing the impact of the Avengers on the world at large. Would make sense considering the utter devastation that has been wrought on the world but I’m not entirely sure that is their fault. The report goes on to mention the cost of rebuilding New York (after the Avengers), Sokovia (after Age of Ultron), and Washington DC (after Captain America: Winter Soldier) set at some 1 trillion dollars. Still, that would have probably been cheaper then being occupied by an alien force led by Loki, having the world destroyed by a robot (curse you Skynet), or having HYDRA implement a tyrannical rule, right? Any-who, this particular clip goes on to set up the events of Captain America: Civil War. With glowing reviews, and having already made significant money overseas, I don’t think we’ll need much more convincing!
Captain America: Civil War opens up on May 6th, 2016 and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Tom Holland, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Daniel Brühl.
