Check out FOX’s Lucifer Trailer!
Based on the character from Neil Gaiman, Lucifer is set to premier sometime in 2016 on FOX and stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze, Lauren German as Chloe Dancer, Kevin Alejandro as Dan, Rachael Harris as Lucifer’s therapist (she has her work cut out for her), and D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel.
Originally interpreted in 1989 by Gaiman, Lucifer grew bored with his lordship of Hell and closed the doors to go and open up a piano bar in Los Angeles. I guess punishing sinners gets a tad bit repetitive after several millenniums, eh? Going through several adventures that saw him face deities from Nordic, Judaeo-Christian, and Japanese cultures, Lucifer always uses his cunning and his unshakable will to taunt and berate his foes. Oh, and he also had the ability to create suns…that title of ‘God’s Lamplight’ was quite literal.
It doesn’t sound like FOX’s show will follow that path exactly, but they have already stirred controversy with a petition from ‘One Million Moms’ that has garnered 27,000 signatures and issues their problem with the show that it “will glorify Satan as a caring, likable person in human flesh.” What do you think of the Lucifer Trailer?
