FX’s LEGION Will Be Part of the X-Men Movie Universe
Legion, the forthcoming X-Men-related TV series featuring the uniquely unhinged David Haller as a uniquely powered mutant, was initially granted an extremely tenuous connection to FOX’s proper, cinematic X-Men universe. And when I mean “tenuous,” I pretty much mean non-existent. Yes, regardless of the fact that, in the comics, David Haller is actually the son of Professor Charles Xavier, there would be no direct link to his famous lineage. Well, forget all that nonsense I just spouted, because according to an individual very much immersed in the X-Men movie universe, Legion WILL be part of the X-Men movie universe.
Who’s the source granted all authority on the cinematic interconnectivity of all things X-Men? Why, that would be Age of Apocalypse director, Bryan Singer. The director of several X-Films, and the current Executive Producer for Legion, Singer confirmed an X-Men movie/TV connection and intimated LEGION’s affects on future X-Films to VERY lucky people at the Edinburgh Television Festival.
“[Legion is] part of the X-Men universe, but when you watched it, you wouldn’t have to label it, it could exist completely on its own. [It] will relate to future X-Men movies.”
So, what do you think?
