First Official Spider-Man: Homecoming Image Released Before Tonight’s Trailer!
Have we mentioned there’s a Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer hitting tonight? Yes, we have, but if you missed our proclamation the first time, we’ll gladly repeat ourselves: THE FIRST, FULL-LENGTH SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING TRAILER HITS TONIGHT! And, you can check it out with us on The Source when the darn thing debuts! Anyway, to further elevate our already lethally elevated, elevated anticipation, our good friends at USA Today released the first official Spider-Man: Homecoming image. OBSERVE!
The trade also reconfirms that Homecoming is spider-hopping right over the origin story and continuing the character’s narrative initiated in Captain America: Civil War. YAY, and thank goodness.
Another bit if interesting info shared by the trade regards Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes, AKA The Vulture, described as “an average Joe with criminal tendencies and a wicked wing suit.” Director Jon Watts and actor Tom Holland elaborated on the surprisingly terrifying characteristics of the classic Spider-foe.
“The first time we see the Vulture is terrifying,” Holland teases. “It’s like a horror movie: really scary, very intense and shocking.”
“The Spidey foe is different than other Marvel baddies such as Thanos and Ultron, Watts says. “It’s fun to think that if Spider-Man is a regular kid who becomes a superhero, there’s got to be a bunch of regular guys who become supervillains, too.”
Think we’ll see The Vulture in tonight’s trailer? Fingers (and mechanically enhanced wings) crossed!
