Looking to break the curse of bad video game movies, Assassin’s Creed certainly has a lot riding on Michael Fassbender. Not like anything is wrong with that – that man is an artist and I think we all can agree that he is a fantastic Magneto. That being said, it looks like he will be playing two different people in the adaptation of the popular Ubisoft video game. Not only will he be playing an assassin during the Spanish Inquisition but he will also be playing his modern day ancestor! I guess the ‘Michael Fassbender look’ is a dominant gene. Certainly makes hereditary biology a bit more interesting, no? Joking aside, the brand new Assassin’s Creed poster pays homage to the video game in which it is based. I hope that the Assassin’s Creed movie is chock full of video game references!
Gotta admit…that brand new Assassin’s Creed poster is freaking awesome! Kind of invokes Ezio, doesn’t it? Assassin’s Creed blends into theaters on December 21, 2016 and stars Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Michael K. Williams, Ariane Labed, Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson. I wonder who the historical tech support will be for the Spanish Inquisition? Dante, perhaps?
