Josh Brolin recently spoke to MTV News about his ongoing/upcoming role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as The Mad Titan, Thanos. We’ve gotten to see a few snippets of Brolin’s Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy and an after credits teaser following Avengers: Age of Ultron. So, what’s next for Thanos?
“I don’t know which one I’m in,” said Brolin. “That’s a Kevin Feige question. I know the trajectory of what they’re doing, but I don’t know exactly which one I’m in.”
I think what Brolin means here is that, despite Thanos being a key player in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movies, no one can be so sure where we’ll see some more of Thanos until then. Mr. Brolin does seem to enjoy playing the villain from Saturn, as he elaborated:
“I love going into a comic book store and a guy connecting me with Thanos, and seeing the incredible regressive awe that happens. Like you see them lose 30 years in can’t-breathe awe,” continued Brolin. “That’s fun, and I have a lot of respect for those fans. I’m excited about doing it, I really am.”
So who is Brolin looking forward to going toe-to-toe with the most as The Mad Titan?
“I don’t have a favorite because it’s me against all of them,” Brolin said. “I think the entirety is what I’m most looking forward to. Each and every one. I’m bringing the wrath.”
Sounds good to this guy; seems like Josh Brolin is really feeling the whole Thanos vibe. Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 opens May 4, 2018, with Part 2 hitting theaters May 3, 2019, but I’m betting we get a taste or two more of Thanos until then. Are you looking forward to seeing Thanos fleshed out on the big screen? Do you think Josh Brolin has the right idea? Sound off in the comments below!
