See that above image? That is concept art from the highly anticipated X-Men film, Apocalypse. One of the rather neat abilities of Apocalypse is his ability to augment and vastly improve a mutant’s abilities. I was never sure if that was directly his ability or the influence of Mister Sinster but I could be getting ahead of myself. Referring to the previously mentioned piece of artwork, director Bryan Singer said, “One of Apocalypse’s many powers is he can imbue other mutants with greater ones. Magneto is demonstrating a small taste of what he can do now. Magneto is already enormously powerful…. Now Apocalypse gives him powers far beyond what we’ve seen before.”
Considering that we’ve already seen Magneto move the Golden Gate Bridge and pick up a football stadium how much further can his power go? Will we finally be able to perhaps see an ‘Asteroid-M’ come into play or am I drowning in wishful thinking? Either way, X-Men: Apocalypse will soon be on everybody’s radar and features an ensemble cast starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn and Lucas Till. I wonder if BB-8 will make a cameo for Oscar Isaac considering Ray Park made a Darth Maul reference in the first X-Men!
