Ah, Chris Pine…always so charismatic! While out making the rounds for the Finest Hours, Chris Pine was happy to answer a few questions regarding the much talked about Wonder Woman film and whether or not we will be seeing Lynda Carter. Pine, who plays Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek movies, didn’t beat around the bush when he was asked who would win in a fight…Kirk or Wonder Woman? His response? “Wonder Woman would win because she’s radical..and she looks better in a skirt.” Yeah, but we all know Kirk’s reputation with the ladies though, right?
Continuing to channel the spirit of Captain Kirk, Pine gushed about co-star Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman. “Gal Gadot…is beautiful, so talented, strong and the story is really one I think that needs to be out there. The simple fact of the matter is it’s about a woman who’s so strong with such physical ability that she could kick such ass but really at the end of the day leads with an incredible amount of compassion and love and hope for humanity and I think we need a lot of that right now.”
The real question on everybody’s mind though is will the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, be making an appearance. Yesterday, we saw Connie Nielson get the role of Hippolya so Carter certainly won’t be her mum. Pine then coyly answered, “If I could tell you that I wouldn’t, but I can’t.” Wait, what? IS SHE OR ISN’T SHE, MR.PINE? I’ll take that as a yes, and he just doesn’t want to spoil it…hopefully. HOPEFULLY!
