In the FOX X-Men movie universe, at least until they (re)shift the time period and (re)reboot the franchise, Quicksilver is the dependable source for silliness. Also included in that universe, but not necessarily the aforementioned X-team, is Deadpool; he’s beyond a dependable source for silliness, he is the sum total of complete and utter, overachieving silliness. Wouldn’t it be interesting if these 2 humorous X-characters got together and spread said silliness to all 4 corners of a world that hates and fears them? According to a recent interview with our friends at The Wrap, it appears actor Evan Peters wants a Deadpool and Quicksilver team-up movie. How fortuitous!
“I would like to see a Deadpool/Quicksilver movie. I think that would be really fun.”
Evans offered this interesting jewel while promoting X-Men: Apocalypse, soon after responding to the possibility of a solo Quicksilver film.
“Oh my god, I don’t know. It would take three years to shoot, wouldn’t it? Yeah I don’t know, I would love to do that.”
Why “3 years?” Because his scenes in both Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse took about a month and a half to film. Yep, these slow-motion scenes are incredibly time consuming, so a solo Quicksilver project might be a little labor intensive.
