Mutant and proud! I guess mega-famous actress Jennifer Lawrence changed her mind about playing the shape-changing mutant. Gaining a ton of popularity during X-Men: First Class and continuing through Days of Futures Past, Jennifer Lawrence showed reluctance about reprising her role in X-Men: Apocalypse. Probably something about 8 hours of make-up every day, right? Either way, in a recent interview Jennifer Lawrence said that she would totally be down for returning to the role of Mystique after Apocalypse! Makes you wonder if they figured out a better process for that…or if J-Law has just gotten numb to the whole thing.
“I am dying to come back. I love these movies, I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it’s not on anyone’s shoulders,” said Lawrence. I suppose that’s a good sign for X-Men: Apocalypse! X-Men Apocalypse opens up May 27th, 2016 and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn and Lucas Till. Reintroducing fan favorites like Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Jubilee, X-Men Apocalypse takes its inspiration from the famous Age of Apocalypse storyline. Somehow I doubt we’ll see the Sugarman, Mr. Sinister, or Dark Beast though.
