It Looks Like Nathan Fillion is [SPOILER] in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Look, don’t read another word if you want to be surprised when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5th, 2017. Seriously, you need to stop reading now, because I’m going to keep going and drop this big reveal – regardless of your somewhat fickle, fanatic fanboy feelings – after 25 more words (give or take). I know; it sounds cold, BUT YOU WERE WARNED! Still with me?? Okay, then: according to a source from our friends over at ComicBook.com, Nathan Fillion is…….

3…..2……1 (you can still turn away)…..

Nathan Fillion is Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. What the F##K!??? Yes, he’s freaking Wonder Man.

Acting!
Who’s Wonder Man? Well, he’s a classic Marvel character imbued with limitless ionic energy. He got his start as a less-than-agreeable member of the Masters of Evil (having a brother like Grim Reaper might drive one to join such a dastardly organization). He later reformed and joined the Avengers. And then he left. And then he rejoined. And then he finally left for good in order to properly devote his time to another, less super-villain-saturated muse: acting.

Atlanta, Georgia was a location used for some GOG Vol. 2 filming last month, and a source provided our esteemed colleagues at ComicBook.com some amazing pictures taken from said set residing in the aforementioned location. This selection of images shows a theater advertising a Simon Williams movie marathon, complete with fake movie posters highlighting the pretend films starring Fillion’s Simon Williams. OBSERVE!

I have a feeling this bit regarding Simon Williams might be more of an Easter Egg; a quick glimpse offering a bit more character density to the superhero-filled MCU. Unless he joins the Guardians full time and blasts the holy hell out of everything with cloudy, determined, ionically-charged eye sockets.

So…what do you think?
