Today, just moments ago, Disney and Lucasfilm (via Collider) tweeted a brand-new, unbelievably striking Rogue One Poster featuring Jyn Erso’s concerned cranium melding with the head of Darth Vader, which was seemingly pre-melded with the object of Rogue Squadron’s discontent: a fully functioning Death Star. Yes, this striking poster–featuring more members of Rogue One Squadron residing mid-poster–is all well and good, but what’s the occasion? Well, the text tells the tale: there’s a new Rogue One trailer coming. Tomorrow. OBSERVE!
First, the original tweet:
New #RogueOne poster revealed by Director Gareth Edwards, as seen on The #StarWarsShow today. Plus, see the new trailer tomorrow morning! pic.twitter.com/qFsMYp2NdG

Now, let’s enlarge this a bit-
Underneath the clever melding of the Death Star, Vader and Erso, we have the whole ding darn Rogue Squadron including K-2SO (Alan Tydyk), Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker), Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen), Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), Baze Malbus (Wen Jiang), and that imperious Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn).
Below, the fist of the Empire secures the tropical planet Scarif with Stormtroopers, AT-ACTs, and TIE Fighters. Mixed within their unrelenting beachhead is the occasional X-Wing and U-Wing…mostly for purposes of morale. I mean, our heroes are seriously outgunned here.
So, ready yourself for the new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer hitting tomorrow!
You’re asking, “But Tiras (*sniff-sniff*), when will it hit, and how can I see it??” Never fear, my friends. There’s no specific time given, but we’ll post the hell out of it just as soon as Disney pulls the trigger.
Star Wars: Rogue One arrives December 16th, 2016 and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jonathan Aris and 10,000,000 Stormtroopers hellbent on killing everyone everywhere.
