Clocking in at 2:35, this Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer grants us a slightly longer peek into the character of Rey, someone unaware of a greater, calamitous history; into Finn, a soldier slowly rebuking the cause; into Kylo-Ren, obsessed with his mission to perpetuate the darkness through its greatest avatar; into Han Solo, a veteran rogue whose story we’re quite familiar with, but a narrative Han may be hesitant to share. The Dark Side of the Force has returned, my friends, and with it the tyranny and tragedy that nearly condemned a galaxy to merciless, despotic rule. However, with the returning tide of the power hungry, of the unchecked and unbalanced, comes the protectors, the guardians that gave so much to bring an end to the darkness resulting in a fractional age free of its influence. Yes, the Dark Side of the Force is real, and it has returned. But if warriors of shadow and rage do, in fact, exist, then so must the sand-robed knights of the Jedi Order.

still no Luke
I know! I really hope he has more of a role in this. This is Luke Skywalker we’re talking about! He still had the sands of Tatooine in his boots when he stood against the all powerful Darth Vader! Sheesh, let’s give the guy a little more credit and a more prominent role.
Luke was all over in the trailer. He’s the one in the mask promising to complete what Vader started.
He was in it. He put his hand on R2. I’m sure he is going to have a big role in this.
