Check out this new 30 second TV spot trailer from the forthcoming Warner Brothers/DC film, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice! This particular TV spot trailers grants us an extended view of Superman’s uncivil introduction to the Batmobile. Yes, we’ve seen the shot of Superman tearing off the Batmobile’s cockpit doors, revealing a very underwhelmed Batman, but we weren’t aware of what transpired beforehand. Now, WE KNOW! Batman attempted to run over the Man of Steel, but because Krypton’s last son is invincible AND able to effectively dismiss the laws of gravity, the Batmobile…..bounced off Superman’s kneecap and into a derelict building. Whoops!
After said bouncing, Superman tore off the Batmobile’s doors from which a contentious Batman arose, uttering those familiar words, “Tell me, do you bleed? You will.” At that point, Superman gives Batman this look, the kind of look one gives when stating, “You’re in danger of wasting my time,” without having to actually state it. Superman was very obviously unmoved, underwhelmed and definitely unimpressed with Batman’s performance. And then, as if to add further insult, he simply flew away after Batman’s ineffective chiding. Yes, Batman, this kind of trash talk through a voice modulator is perfect for scaring the hell out of pick-pockets and serial murderers sporting a terrifying clown motif, but an invincible alien who can slam-dunk the sun? Nope, not impressive.
Debuting March 25, 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne. Oh, and probably a lot of unhappy citizens caught in the crossfire when Superman and Batman indulge in a pee-pee contest.
