Yes, it’s here! It’s the new Daredevil season 2 trailer and it’s finally here!
Not surprisingly, the backdrop chosen for this particular trailer is a church. Nope, not surprising at all. Why a church? Firstly, Daredevil is a conflicted Catholic blatantly rebuking his teachings every time he puts the sleeper hold on an especially violent ne’er do well. Secondly, it’s the perfect place to revisit and reflect on Daredevil’s history through a magnificently painted, stain-glass mosaic. Each scene from the mosaic highlights an important part of Daredevil’s chaotic continuity, overlaid with excerpted, poignant dialog from Daredevil’s freshman season.
And after the recap, the camera pulls back revealing a familiar shape resting in the smokey-glass mosaic: the Punisher skull! And then…things blow up! AHHH! Such an ominous portent of terrible things to come!
Daredevil returns to Netflix in March, but not on the speculated 3/25 date. Nope. Daredevil will actually be debuting an entire week earlier on March 18th! YES!
Are you ready? Yes? Good, because we’re ready! YAY!
Daredevil stars Daredevil/Matt Murdoch, Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, Frank Castle/The Punisher, Elektra, Stick, maybe Kingpin, possibly Stilt-Man (but I really doubt it ), 7000 members of the Hand (probably not) and Typhoid Mary (No, but that would be AWESOME!)
