When first-person-shooter games first dipped their toes into non-fiction, we were assaulted with an unending torrent of World War 2 shooters. The natural evolution of these games saw publishers attempt everything from Vietnam to more modern warfare. Of course, we haven’t stopped progressing at this point and now have reached a rather interesting point when it comes to digital warfare. I speak of the upcoming division between Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1. At least starting today we can check out the Battlefield 1 Open Beta! Now where is that Infinite Warfare beta? Something has to bring those Youtube dislikes down!
The Battlefield 1 Open Beta is available for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC gamers (via Origin). Xbox users will have to have a GOLD membership but PS4 users can skip by without one. Just go to whatever store app on whatever device and type in Battlefield 1 and you’ll be good to go! Reactions have been overwhelmingly positive to the Battlefield 1 Open Beta and there’s no reason not to at least try it out. The only downside is that any progress you might make while playing won’t carry over when the game comes out! Still, can’t say no to a little taste, right? For those that manage to play on 4 different days and hit level 15 will obtain a special dog-tag though.
