I guess we won’t be seeing Thor spend much time on Earth during Thor: Ragnarok according to Stellan Skarsgård! Stellan Skarsgård, best known for playing Erik Selvig as Thor’s science/ drinking buddy, spoke with Den of Geek and said, “I have a five-film deal with them, and they still have one option. Thor 3 is not on my slate, but maybe the next Avengers.” What does that mean for us? Well most people feel like that means Thor won’t be spending much time on Earth which is probably good; most fans aren’t all that interested in the ‘Earth’ elements of Thor so this is a welcome change.
Unfortunately, that means we won’t be seeing Stellan Skarsgård streak across the likes of Stone Henge. Damn! Perhaps we will be seeing Bruce Banner/Hulk fill in that role of crazy scientist-type person! Yeah! Filming is expecting to begin in Australia in June and is directed by Taika Waititi. Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett (as Hela), and Samuel L. Jackson so far. Tom Hiddleston might be in it too, but Marvel has been rather mum about whether or not we expect to see Marvel’s Trickster God! Find all of your Thor needs at SuperheroStuff!
