Language, children! I guess we should have expected something like this from the guy who directed Training Day. Then again…this ‘is chess, not checkers!’ Joking aside, it looks like David Ayer got a little swept up in the moment. David Ayer last night had some choice words for Marvel at the Suicide Squad premiere and well…it isn’t safe for children! The below video is from Batman-News and shows off the exact moment.

Whoa! At least David Ayer didn’t sound like he had any sort of hate in his voice. Perhaps just carried away? Nothing wrong with a little excitement and healthy competition! However, it seemed like he already had to slam into damage control. He immediately Tweeted out the below message explaining his thought process and it seems like he indeed was swept up in the moment. He merely echoed somebody in the crowd. Must have been a lively bunch, eh?
Sorry about getting caught up in the moment and saying f*ck Marvel. Someone said it. I echoed. Not cool. Respect for my brother filmmakers.

David Ayer has always been known as a passionate guy and at least he apologized right away. On the bright side of things at least he and Jason Momoa weren’t in the same room…then it would have become a real comic faux pas. Either way, Suicide Squad is currently tracking a pretty massive opening with a current projection of 125 million to 140 million. I think that would be reason enough to start yelling obscenities!
Suicide Squad opens up this week on August 5th, 2016 and stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Jay Hernandez as Diablo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Adam Beach as Slipknot, and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.
