Marvel is usually pretty good at adapting their iconic costumes for the Silver Screen, but speaking with Business Insider, Daniel Bruhl informed us that the character he is playing, Baron Zemo, would not be wearing his prolific mask! Awwww. A real shame, too, because I think we were all looking forward to a hooded villain for Captain America: Civil War! And here I thought the villain was going to be Tony Stark! Daniel Bruhl, known for his roles in Inglorious Basterds and The 4th Estate, is a talented and versatile actor that will hopefully bring another dimension to the famous Captain America villain.
“He does not wear the mask. You would be surprised, it’s different than what you’d think. It’s loosely connected to this character. But that’s what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they’re dealing with always reference to current events so my character is from a different area than you would think,” said Bruhl. He also hinted that he may return for future Captain America movies as Zemo! So, what do you think?
