Yes, Batman V Superman starts tomorrow and yes, the embargo was recently lifted regarding the release of critical reviews. Unfortunately, I’m taken aback since a good number of these reviews aren’t exactly glorifying Batman V Superman’s attempts to reinvent the superhero movie genre AND facilitate the creation of a larger, DC Movie Universe. Most are basically saying, “Decent, but rife with issues.” Regardless of the critical consensus, the Batman V Superman promotional juggernaut forges ahead with the release of a brand new Batman V Superman TV trailer. Look up, press PLAY and enjoy!

This one-minute trailer overlooks the posturing, costumed archetypes of all things hopeful and all things distrustful, and digs into the titular characters’ distinct motivations. Bruce Wayne comes from a family of hunters and mourns his tragic legacy.

Debuting March 25, 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne. Oh, and probably a lot of unhappy citizens caught in the crossfire when Superman and Batman indulge in a pee-pee contest.
