Who ya gonna call? Ah, I always enjoy starting off with a Ghostbusters reference. Do kids these days even know who they are supposed to call when ghosts and ghouls pop up? Probably not…but at least this brand spanking new first Ghostbusters trailer is somewhat promising! Unfortunately, there is no Vigo the Unholy in this first Ghostbusters trailer but hey, maybe we will get lucky later on! At least the Ghostbusters acknowledges the presence of the earlier movies. Makes you wonder how they are going to work that in, right? At least it sets up for a good cameo; if the original Ghostbusters are floating around then surely they have to show up at some point if New York comes under siege from the paranormal for what…the third time?
The Ghostbusters reboot opens up on July 15, 2016 and stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones. Hopefully the movie is good and doesn’t generate a tremendous amount of negative energy in the form of slime that flows beneath the surface. That does seem like a rather distinct possibility, doesn’t it? I wonder if they’ll use a Wii-Mote to move the Statue of Liberty…since it is an update, right? THE POWER OF THE SLIME!
