Ladies and Gentlemen, we are less than one week away from Deadpool making his way into movie theaters across the country.
The Merc with a Mouth has been everywhere lately in preparation. From commercials, to PSA’s to an upcoming Super Bowl appearance, expect to see a lot more of the man in the red suit before next Friday’s release.
With Wade Wilson constantly on display, he’s going to need help, and that includes assistance from the original Red Devils of Manchester United.
That’s right… 20th Century Fox turned to International Soccer Star Wayne Rooney and the rest of Man UÂ to help promote Deadpool. Wait… does that technically make United (the world’s most popular soccer team) part of X-Force? I like to think it does.
While scoring a goal at Old Trafford stadium is a dream for many soccer fans, only Deadpool would include kissing Rooney’s forehead as part of his fantasy. Did you also notice some of the fun easter eggs, like the half eaten chimichanga on his end table? Or how about Wilson sleeping with a Wolverine doll?
The promotions for Deadpool have been nothing short of awesome, and with the movie so close, you have to hope for some more amazing commercials and skits in the week leading up to its release.
Deadpool hits theaters February 12th (THAT’S SO CLOSE!!!) with Ryan Reynolds returning as Wade Wilson/Deadpool (unless you don’t count his time in X-Men Origins: Wolverine… and who could really blame you).
