In this behind-the-scenes featurette courtesy of Good Morning America, we get quite a few interviews with quite a few cast members from the forthcoming Marvel film, Captain America: Civil War! A few particularly interesting bits mentions Tony Stark’s darker turn during the course of the movie, which makes perfect sense seeing as he’s hunting down his friends, and making tough decisions that will probably alienate him from, well….everyone. Anyway, check out the above Civil War featurette that touches on a dark Tony Stark!
Now, a few key quotes from the above video interview:
Downey begins with, “I really do have a strangely serious investment in these films.”
Interviewer asks, “What do you mean by that?”
Downey responded with, “It’s not going to be entirely predictable, characters are going to make choices that surprise you..”
Joe Russo chimes in with, “Downey is playing a much darker version of Tony Stark than he’s ever played and he’s just crushing it.”
And now for my favorite bit; the interviewer asks Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) if he prefers the name “Chad” or “Chadwick.” Chadwick’s response? “Try calling me Chad. Try it.”
Was the interviewer about to be whisked away to Wakanda for transgressing against a foreign delegate and summarily beaten with a vibranium water cooler? Maybe.
