Mama always did say crazy is as crazy does! Wait, was that the phrase? No matter! Viola Davis, who plays Amanda Waller in Suicide Squad, sat down with Vanity Fair to give an interview on the red-hot upcoming movie as shown by the above clip. The focus of said interview? Jared Leto’s Joker…and how he never broke character. One thing is for certain…Jared Leto is really committed to the role of the Clown Prince of Crime and I don’t think we’ll have to worry about being let down by his shenanigans. Please don’t pistol whip me!

“The Joker, he did some bad things. Jared Leto did. He gave some really horrific gifts. He had henchmen that would come into the rehearsal room and the henchmen came in with a dead pig and plopped it on the table, then he walked out. And that was our introduction into Jared Leto,” stated Davis. Kinda makes you realize how much fun an actor must have. ‘Oh, they are just really committed to the role!’ I think I could probably swing that, no?

Davis continued, “Now I’m terrified as a person thinking ‘Is he crazy?’ but the second part was ‘Oh shit! I got to have my stuff together.’ You talk about commitment and then he sends Margot Robbie a black rat. It was still alive in a box, she screamed, and then she kept it.” We don’t exactly have rats or dead pigs, but you can definitely find all of your Joker stuff here!
