Willem Dafoe Joins the Justice League Cast!

It looks like Willem Dafoe is following JK Simmons’ lead and jumping universes. According to reports, he will be taking on a currently undisclosed role in the upcoming Justice League movie. Yep, it’s official; Willem Dafoe joins the Justice League cast!

Dafoe, who played the Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies, will be playing a “heroic” role in both parts of Justice League. What the role will be is being kept under lock and key right now.

I’ll be honest, when I saw the headline, I was sure Dafoe was going to be the voice of Darkseid. Now I wonder if he might, instead, be Highfather?

Justice League went into production last week with Batman v Superman director, Zack Snyder, once again behind the camera.

In the film, Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) team up to combat a threat beyond each member’s capabilities. That threat is, of course, rumored to be none other than Darkseid.

Another Spider-Man alum, JK Simmons, has previously signed on to play Commissioner Gordon in Justice League.

Justice League will be released in two parts by Warner Brothers. Justice League: Part One will hit theaters on Nov. 17, 2017, while Part Two is slated for release on June 14, 2019.

So who do you think Willem Dafoe will be playing? Who do you wish he was playing? Do you think his casting will be a good addition to the DC Cinematic Universe? Do you think we will see any more actors defect from Marvel to DC?

Let’s talk about it below!
