Yes, it’s yet another image shared from the wponx Instagram account regularly dispensing moderately depressing, black and white images taken throughout the soulless landscape upon which Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine tale, LOGAN, will transpire. Today’s image, simply titled “WORN,” focuses on the obviously weathered, beaten, and yes, summarily worn hands of Logan. And be sure to focus on the improperly healed slits from which Wolverine’s claws are regularly dispensed. It’s quite obvious a certain, usually dependable healing factor is unusually dysfunctional.
Yes, this rather noir-ish tale of a future, failed and uncharacteristically docile Wolverine features our hero struggling with the loss of the X-Men, administering care to an aged, somewhat forgetful Professor Charles Xavier, and keeping X-23 from the Reavers, and by extension, Nathaniel Essex. Call me crazy, but I think Essex’s endgame here is to create more mutant solider in an effort to secure whatever’s left of the gray, arid wasteland referred to in olden times as “The United States.”
LOGANÂ currently has a release date of March 3rd, 2017 and stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal
