The Immortal Iron Fist. Bathed in the power of the Dragon, Iron Fist protects Earthrealm from the likes of Shao Khan, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi. Wait, wrong universe! The above video is the first Iron Fist trailer from the San Diego Comic Convention. In it you can see a young Danny Rand entering a plane. From there though things go south real fast for the young boy as the plane seems to crash and he is adopted by monks. Luckily for him they were the kind of monks that could teach all sorts of mystical martial arts!
Helping to establish the tone of the series, the first Iron Fist trailer quickly shows off scenes with a voice over and a brief glimpse of Danny Rand’s power. He manages to do that by punching right through the wall in a manner that would make the Kool-Aid man proud! Ohhh yeah! Ahem. Running just shy of a minute long, the first Iron Fist trailer looks good and I’m certainly excited to see if Netflix can continue the long running tradition of quality Marvel-themed entertainment!
Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, David Wenham, Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey star in the Netflix-Marvel vehicle of Iron Fist. Iron Fist is currently scheduled for a 2017 release but beyond that they aren’t sharing an actual release date. Probably just waiting on that tournament to finish up in the celestial cities…
