This new teaser video for Daredevil Season 2 is pretty freaking ominous; it shows Frank Castle/The Punisher holding what appears to be the remains of Daredevil’s devil-themed costume: his helmet. Wait…just what in the F##K did he do with the rest of Daredevil?? This video implies, heavily, that the Punisher murdered the hell out of Daredevil. Or, beat Daredevil to the point where Matt had no ability to stop Castle from making off with said helmet. Either way, when the Punisher holds Daredevil’s remains in this new Daredevil Season 2 trailer, my stomach erupts, my throat closes and my chest tightens. Check out the video below and tell me if your reaction is similar.
Ugh. Again, the implication of Daredevil’s death/severe beating at the hands of the Punisher really, really bothers me. Why? Because, Daredevil can’t lose. I mean, he can’t, right?? If he’s gone, who will protect the denizens of Hell’s Kitchen? Frank Castle? Ugh. Not sure if cutting off criminals’ testicles is considered an act of protection.
