I AM THE LAW! Wait, wrong Judge Dredd. 2012 saw the cult classic release of Dredd which starred Karl Urban as the wayward Rider of Rohan who dispensed justice to a sprawling megalopolis. Actually, he might not have been a Rider of Rohan in that one…he was a commander of a space fleet commanded by that guy from Stephen King’s Storm of the Century! Ack, never mind. Either way, Dredd was well received by both fans and critics alike but didn’t make much of an impact in the theaters, unfortunately.
Luckily for us, the internet has rallied around Dredd and there is a petition floating around for a new Dredd movie or series to go to a streaming service like Netflix or Hulu or a premium network like HBO. I guess HBO could use that to fill in the gaps left by Game of Thrones, right? Joking aside, the petition has already garnered over 100,000 people and if you want to see more Dredd then we suggest that you add your name to the collective! We may not be able to get that guy out from Making a Murderer but at least we may be able to summon Karl Urban! Hooray!
