BvS Cinematographer doubts your opinion will change

I believe they say, ‘shots fired’ these days, right? It looks like the BvS Cinematographer has taken to Twitter to express his thoughts on the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Cut. His thoughts? Well…he doesn’t think any extra time is going to change your opinion! Hmm, perhaps he should have talked to a marketing or advertising person before phrasing it this way? Joking aside, the BvS Cinematographer has been heavily promoting the Ultimate Cut so I don’t think he is trying to be negative. If anything, I think he knows what we are in for and knows the amount of vitriol that surrounds the divisive movie.

My thoughts on seeing a tweet like that? He probably sees how some people in the media and internet are holding up the Ultimate Cut as if it is totally going to change our minds, but let’s be realists here…I don’t think a half an hour of extra footage is going to drastically alter the movie. The movie is still essentially the same, we just get it fleshed out a bit more. The Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Cut is more like some extra spice on BvS and not so much an extra meal…right? Still, I’m excited to see where they go with it, and if it does it improve it even a little bit then I’m going to question why they cut it out in the first place (I’m looking at you, BvS Cinematographer!). I think if the movie executives are going to get us in the movie theaters I don’t think we’ll mind spending an extra half an hour on a movie. We do pay how much for those freaking things!

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Cut comes out digitally at the end of June and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot. Oh, and we also get to see Jena Malone as Barbara Gordon! Hooray!
