TURN THAT OFF!

Spider-Man: Homecoming, strongly implied by every image we’ve witnessed, appears bright and alive with a bold, unabashedly positive color pallet. However, this latest image shared from actor Tom Holland’s infinitely refreshed Instagram account shows otherwise; it’s the sometimes crushing darkness experienced by our ever-burdened wall-crawler successfully embathing the forthcoming Spider-film. So, let’s check out the noir-drenched, Spider-Man Homecoming image below!

Thank you to @georgejcottle and his amazing team for making me look like a badass. #spidermanhomecoming #stunts

Yep, filming continues on the New York set, and it isn’t always underneath sunshine or awash in smiles and brightly painted summer-wear. Nope. Because, if you’re a Spider-Man fan, you know the darkness, brother. It’s there, and it’s just waiting for a psychological thruway to render Peter innocuous in the face of super-danger. He lost someone, and he’s indebted to the guilt born from said preventable loss. Even when the sun is shining, the loss, and the secret, cut deep.

Debuting July 7, 2017 and directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Junior, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Barbieri, Hannibal Buress, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, and Michael Keaton.
