Ghostbusters Reboot to Face off Against History

No stranger to controversy (heavens knows what from), the new Ghostbusters film is being described thusly (according to our friends at Entertainment Weekly): “Dead criminals from all eras of New York’s underbelly past have returned to roost among the living in Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot. Pilgrims, old-timey sailors, Revolutionary War spirits, and even a couple of zoot-suited gangsters are ready to take on four formidable female busters looking to rid the city of its phantasmic filth.” Well, that official statement gets straight to the point, doesn’t it?

Word is on the street that Charles Dance is also confirmed for a role in the film, but his role is currently unknown. My guess is that he will be playing Tywin Lannister since, um, he will have that opportunity! Joking aside, I wonder if we will be seeing a return of Vigo or Gozer or if they’ll go the same route as the Ghostbusters Wii game where they were all interconnected! Either way, the film is scheduled for a July 15, 2016 release and stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Neil Casey and Andy García. Hopefully we’ll also get a few cameos from the likes of Bill Murray, Slimer, and Rick Moranis. I don’t think anybody has heard anything from Moranis since the last Ghostbusters film!
