This weekend saw Disney host its 4th D23 convention, which is essentially San Diego Comic Con for all things under the Disney banner…which happen to include both Star Wars and Marvel! Kevin Feige, the ringmaster behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe, had this presentation for both Dr. Strange and Captain America: Civil War.
Unfortunately, we don’t get to see any of the actual test footage released but we do get to see Benedict Cumberbatch from Dr. Strange and Anthony Mackie and Chris Evans from Captain America: Civil War describing their parts and how they connect to the great cinematic universe. As you can see, the actors are highly enthusiastic and confident that the start of Marvel Phase 3 will truly be something to remember.
“This is the fourth D23, and having seen the show floor, I think it’s the best one yet. At the first one, we had just done Iron Man. At the second one, we showed the first clip to a movie we’d been working on a long time, called The Avengers. At the third D23 we brought clips from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy.” stated Kevin Feige while Cumberbatch said “I’m very lucky and excited to be playing Doctor Strange for Marvel. He’s an extraordinary character and brings in whole new multiple dimensions to the Marvel Universe. It will bring a mind-blowing experience.” All-in-all, it looks like Marvel Phase 3 will be totally awesome! Sound off with any thoughts or opinions below!
