Last night, the wponx Instagram account released yet another image teasing ominous looking people, places or things directly linked to Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine film titled LOGAN. So far, we’ve seen a severed arm still clutching a shotgun, the ruins of what may be a Weapon X location, a puddle reflecting a brightly lit MOTEL sign, and an image of X-Men baddie Donald Pierce. Now, we’re getting an image identifying itself as a smelting plant. Yep, this is another ominous location in LOGAN. Observe!
Logan, besides borrowing from Mark Millar’s comic book opus, “Old Man Logan,” is supposedly borrowing material from another Wolverine epic titled “The Death of Wolverine,” written by Charles Soule. In it, Wolverine suffocates (to death, obviously) after he’s covered in Adamantium. So….maybe this image portends the same fate?
Also, take notice of the Limousine. Leaked set images have shown Wolverine working as a chauffeur, so perhaps he’s lured there under false pretenses. Only time will tell, really. Hopefully the image of the severed arm is the result of luring Wolverine to locations he really has no interest in.
LOGAN currently has a release date of March 3rd, 2017 and stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal.
