So, for a while, there was nothing. We saw hastily produced images of an older Wolverine pushing about an even older Professor X in a “future” Wolverine story likened to Mark Millar’s dystopian classic, “Old Man Logan.” We received unconfirmed reports that classic X-Men foe Donald Pierce and his cybernetic assassins, the Reavers, would be plaguing Wolverine in this sparsely detailed Wolverine film. Well, Hugh Jackman said more details would be forthcoming, and he was right; the “nothing” is now very much a recurring chain of something.
First, thanks to Jackman’s Twitter account, we received the actual title of the film (LOGAN) and could FINALLY stop calling it Wolverine 3.
Next, we saw the creation of the wponx Instagram account which shared ominous images from the world of Wolverine 3…er, I mean, LOGAN. OBSERVE!
And just moments ago, the wponx account shared THIS image:
The caption, “Pierce,” confirms Donald Pierce’s role in Logan. So, if there’s Pierce, there’s bound to be the Reavers. And where there’s Pierce and the Reavers, there’s bound to be…LADY DEATHSTRIKE!!! Maybe. We’ll see.
LOGAN currently has a release date of March 3rd, 2017 and stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal.
