Do you long for the days of 8-bit glory? Do you remember taking turns playing through the original Super Mario? Do you still try out the ‘Konami’ code on every single game? Then I guess you are in luck because Nintendo is bringing back the original Nintendo NES! Yep! Turns out that was what that whole Nintendo NX thing was about the whole time. So much for console parity, eh? Actually, I’m just messing with you. Turns out that Nintendo is just indulging our rose colored glasses with a Mini-Nintendo!
Coming November 11th, 2016, the Mini-Nintendo will cost 60 bucks and come with 30 classic Nintendo games. Yeah…30 freaking Nintendo games! You’ll also get a controller and HDMI cable which is probably easier than trying to figure out those component cables or the dreaded adapter. Oh, those cursed adapters! Any-who, the Mini-Nintendo will probably make a lot of people’s Christmas lists…that is if they can wait till then. I know I’ll be running out to pick up the Mini-Nintendo if only for the original trilogy of Super Mario and Zelda 2. Zelda 2 was probably one of the hardest games for that system and it never helped when your ability to save was fried because you bought it at a yard sale. That happened to all of us, right?
Below is the full list of the games that are included with the Mini-Nintendo. Certainly brings back some memories, doesn’t it? I wonder if we should expect a Game Genie at some point!
