Just in case you managed to stay off the internet yesterday, Marvel shocked the world by announcing in Captain America #1: Steve Rogers that Captain America has been (SPOILER ALERT!!! STOP READING NOW!!!) working for HYDRA the whole time! Say what? Yes, you heard that right…and even Marvel confirmed it. That is indeed Steve Rogers and not some kind of Life-Model-Decoy or alternate reality Steve Rogers. So how exactly does that work out with Captain America being a HYDRA Agent? Hasn’t he been like, kicking their ass for more than half a century? That might require some mental gymnastics on the writer’s behalf but one thing is for certain – the internet went absolutely freaking nuts! Of course with Captain America: Civil War currently out in theaters, how did the live-action Captain America Chris Evans feel about it?

Well I guess that is to be expected! I’m not quite sure how the live-action version of that would all play out…especially this close to Civil War. The real question here is this: is Captain America aware of being a HYDRA Agent, or is he a sleeper-agent like the Winter Soldier where all he needs are a couple of code-words? Either way, I’m sure HYDRA Captain America wants to get his hands on that Mission Report from December 16th, 1991.
Captain America: Civil War is currently in theaters and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Tom Holland, Frank Grillo, William Hurt and Daniel Brühl.
