Have you noticed a turn of unrelenting bad luck recently? Is your left eye no longer able to discern the color purple? Did you accidentally leave your cellphone in a bee hive, or receive 50 pairs of socks and a shark-patterned tie for your Birthday? If so, then allow me to point out the source of this maleficent wave of terrible, annoying practical jokes seemingly enacted by careless fate: it’s Loki; it’s totally Loki. Yep, Loki’s back in the latest Asgardian-themed outing, Thor: Ragnarok, and Tom Hiddleston, the actor portraying the comely, charming god of lies, uploaded his costumed image to Instagram with the following, affirming caption: “He’s back.”
“I’m so excited about playing him again,” Hiddleston said earlier this year at Wizard World in Philadelphia when asked about reprising the role. “I’m four years older and Chris [Hemsworth, who plays Thor] is four years older, and there will just be new things we find in it. The most exciting thing about him is that he is always a trickster. It is trying to find new ways for him to be mischievous, because I love doing that, and I hope you guys love watching that.”
Of course, Hulk will be along for the ride in Thor: Ragnarok, and if memory serves me correctly, his initial meeting with Loki went…poorly.
“The last time Loki and Hulk were in the same room didn’t go very well for Loki so, he’s got a few chips on his shoulder, but um, yeah, it’s fun.”
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters Nov. 3, 2017. Ready for his ‘Loki-ness’ to make everyone absolutely miserable while smiling diabolically from ear to ear?
