Never tell him the odds.
Han Solo scolds you!

Can’t wait for the newest Star Wars movie, can you? Been reading all of the Star Wars and Han Solo rumors, eh? The Force Awakens conjured up a ton of rose-colored feelings and now that Disney has Star Wars we will be seeing so much more! This year will see the release of the first spin-off Star Wars movie, Rogue One. Set after Revenge of the Sith but before A New Hope, Rogue One will follow a plucky group of rebels as they attempt to steal the plans for the Death Star. I don’t think I need to tell you that many Bothans died to get you this information!

Ever since they announced this spin-off movie fans have speculated that we might be seeing a young Han Solo. Considering that they just cast the new role in the form of Alden Ehrenreich, it would make sense to maybe expect something like that. Unfortunately I wouldn’t hold your breath! Finally addressing the Han Solo rumors, Disney-Star Wars Lord Kathleen Kennedy cleared up the speculation.

Han Solo Rumors
This is the best ice cube tray. Ever.

“I’m not sure if I’m allowed to do this, but I think I should…. Han Solo’s not in the movie.” Well there you have it! Glad that clears that up but I’m sure somebody will point out that Christopher Nolan said Talia wasn’t going to be in The Dark Knight Rises either.

Kennedy then took the time to address some other Star Wars rumors including the idea that Rogue One ends exactly 10 minutes before A New Hope. “I love that it has been reduced to that precise amount. It definitely leads into New Hope, that is very intentional, but it is a completely new and separate set of characters and it is a story that sits outside of anything anyone would necessarily know in New Hope.” I’m surprised that she even responding to that claim…10 minutes seems like an awfully arbitrary number but at least we know we aren’t going to be getting some direct lead-in to A New Hope.

Got anything else for us Kathleen Kennedy? Oh, you want to respond to that rumor that Hayden Christensen will be popping up in Rogue One? You are on a roll! “No. That is not true. I can confirm that. He is not [in Rogue One].” I guess you people holding out for more stirring diatribes on the coarseness of sand are going to have to keep on waiting.

Star Wars: Rogue One comes out on December 16th, 2016 and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Jonathan Aris.
