Tonight, The Flash Season 3 premiere hits the good ‘ol CW and we here at The Source are pinching our Nutella®-filled bellies in utter disbelief and untoward excitement! Why? Because Barry is currently inhabiting an alternate universe created by the selfish need to resurrect his mother; a universe without The Flash, but with its own, familiar versions of our beloved Scarlet Speedster. In the latest clip from The Flash Season 3 premiere, we see “Kid Flash” (Keiynan Lonsdale) taking on a rival speedster, the appropriately named Rival. Look UP! Press PLAY! ENJOY!
What’s interesting here is Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) going about his civilian life (because he already has one here) until the two combating speedsters fly by. Immensely curious, Barry has to follow the action and witness metahuman pee-pee contests from the perspective of a jaw-gaping onlooker. Well, not so much jaw-gaping, since he’s still a speedster himself.
So, can The Flash stay out of the game and let another speedster handle the fleet-footed opposition? If you clicked the link above, you know the answer to that question is “no.”
The Flash Season 3 hits TONIGHT, starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramone, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West.
